Cycling and skiing Europe’s wildest mountains – Balkan Express
The award-winning documentary captures their personal experiences from over 2.500km on the road. A challenging adventure across ten degrees of latitude and a respectful approach to some of the wildest mountains in Europe.
The mountaineers Max Kroneck and Jochen Mesle book a one-way train ticket from Munich to Thessaloniki – and start their way back home by bike and ski. Along the route they were searching for the most beautiful ski runs and got to know the local mountain communities, they explore the mountains of the Balkans, where they stop for skiing and had fun in the oldest National Park Pelister.
After the grat time that they have in Greece, they continue to Baba Mountain, where they were really lucky because that year on Pelister was a lot of snow, and conditions for skiing were great. They meet with the local guide Jonche where they have really nice fun 🙂
